Thai PBS Online interviewed several Thais who have lived in Pai for more than 10 years. Many of them said in unison that the Israeli problem did not just start as recently reported in the news, "but has been around for a long time." Tourists from this country have come to live in Pai as if it were their own home. Some have businesses, some have rented out accommodation long-term, and some have even settled here, which has had a significant impact on the economy and culture of the Thai community.
